Star Trek Red Carpet Premiere in Hollywood
April 30, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
How fun is this?! For the "Star Trek" premiere in Hollywood, they created this very cool red carpet setting incorporating the "Star Trek" logo and other fun stuff. Check out the movie for yourself when it opens in theaters May 8, 2009.
Bruce Willis sees (more) action
April 30, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I love it when actors keep kicking it up as they get older. At an age when some actors might be thinking about retiring to Hawaii and playing golf, Bruce Willis is still bringing it big-time.
I wondered if 2007’s "Live Free and Die Hard" might be Willis’ last big action flick. That movie had some awesome stunts. But, apparently, there’s more to come.
The 54-year-old Willis is in talks for three action movies, so I guess he’d better stock up on Advil.
In NuImage/Millennium’s "Inventory," he’ll play a detective hot on the trail of a murderer. In Summit Entertainment’s "Red," he’ll play a black-ops agent who’s forced out of retirement when a high-tech assassin comes after him and his girlfriend. And Morgan Creek’s "Scarpa" centers on a mobster.
Keep going for it, Bruce! Love you in the action flicks.

Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman rehearse The Baster
April 30, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Yes, it’s a movie about a turkey baster. Specifically, a turkey baster which Kassie (Jennifer Aniston) turns to in order to get pregnant. She’s unmarried and 40-something, and running out of time.
But seven years later, it all goes either oh-so-wrong or oh-so-right when it turns out that her best friend Wally (Jason Bateman) replaced the sperm sample with his own!
Directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck (co-directors on “Blades of Glory”), on a screenplay by Allan Loeb (”21″), “The Baster” is set for a 2010 release date. Here’s a photo with the two leads rehearsing on the movie set. I really like these two in lighter, romantic comedies, so I’m looking forward to it.

Jim Carrey looking at The Beaver
April 30, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
"The Beaver" is one of those offbeat projects that could either be a smash hit or a really weird movie.
Kyle Killen’s script centers on the close relationship between a man and a beaver puppet he wears on his arm. He talks to it and treats it like a companion.
I’m flashing on "Lars and the Real Girl," the movie starring Ryan Gosling as a guy attached to his inflatable doll.
At one time, "The Beaver" had Steve Carell loosely attached to play the lead when Jay Roach was in talks to direct. Apparently, Jim Carrey likes the script, but won’t commit until a director comes onboard. Producers want to start shooting later this year, and Jodie Foster is one of the candidates to direct.
Jodie Foster and Jim Carrey. Could be interesting!

Jennifer Garner on Good Morning America
April 30, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Stopping by Good Morning America today was Jennifer Garner, out and about to promote her new movie, “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.” She’s the one girl who’s immune to Matthew McConaughey’s charms, and he starts to think differently about her after being visited by past, present and future girlfriends.
The movie hits theaters tomorrow, May 1, 2009. Read my preview and watch the trailer here. And check out the last photo to see Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman, also on GMA today to promote his new movie, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” They’re adorable together!
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past – Preview & Trailer
April 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Matthew McConaughey continues to be one of my favorite romantic comedy stars, and his real-life girlfriend says he (and their new baby) is such a flirt, so I guess the genre is right up his alley.
In "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," McConaughey plays Connor Mead, a confirmed bachelor and celeb photographer who has no qualms about breaking up with several women on a conference call. While at his younger brother’s wedding, Connor nearly single-handedly ruins the wedding, and gets haunted by not only his hard-partying uncle (Michael Douglas), but also the ghosts of his past, present and future girlfriends. Jennifer Garner plays Jenny Perotti, the one girlfriend who maybe shouldn’t have gotten away.
More after the jump, including stills and a trailer…
The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Movie – Preview & Clip
April 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Even if you’re not familiar with the Sherman Brothers, I’m 110 percent sure you’ve heard their music.
Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman wrote some of the most memorable tunes in movie history, including “Chim Chim Cher-ee” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from “Mary Poppins,” “I Wanna Be Like You” from “The Jungle Book,” and the most translated song ever written in the history of the world, “It’s a Small World (After All).”

Peter Facinelli talks New Moon, Taylor Lautner
April 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
This fun video comes to us via our friends at TwilightMania.com. Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in "Twilight" and "New Moon" (in theaters Nov. 20, 2009), says "werewolves are coming out of the woodwork" on the "New Moon" set. Oh yeah, and the buffed-up Taylor Lautner scares him. "If I saw him in a back alley, I’d probably run!"
