"Bangkok Dangerous" Preview & Trailer
Everyone’s favorite droopy-eyed guy Nicolas Cage plays Joe, a hitman who’s in Bangkok to pull off a series of jobs for a crime boss called Surat (Nirattisai Kaljaruek).
Joe hires a street punk named Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm) to run errands for him, all the while planning to kill the youth at the end of his assignment. Instead, the two bond, and Joe begins a romance with a local shop girl. Until Surat decides to clean house, that is.
Nicolas Cage has done some of my all-time favorite movies, including Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, and Peggy Sue Got Married. I love that he always brings his own special brand of every-guy-ness to his roles. With 18 projects on tap for the next few years, I just hope he doesn’t burn out!
Directed by Oxide Pang Chun, Bangkok Dangerous is rated R for violence, language and some sexuality. In theaters Sept. 5, 2008.
