Rebecca De Mornay in for Mother’s Day – a female Freddy or Jason?
September 1, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Did you like Rebecca De Mornay’s evil nanny role in “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle”? Well, she just joined the cast of “Mother’s Day,” and filmmaker Darren Lynn Bousman says get ready for more. Way more.
"Every time you look at (Rebecca), she is on fire, and to take her to this level, which is like her role in ‘Hand That Rocks the Cradle’ times a thousand, is exciting," says Bousman. "She is not some Freddy Krueger or Jason, so it was important for me to get a real actress."
Ok, so I’m guessing by that, he means that … [Read More]
All About Steve is all about the red carpet premiere
September 1, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
You can tell that people have this abiding love for Sandra Bullock, and that she can take it as well as dish it out. She just seems like she’d be a lot of fun, whether you’re working on a film or having a beer with her. And yeah, she definitely seems like a beer drinker rather than a frou-frou alcoholic beverage drinker.
Here, Bradley Cooper, her co-star in the upcoming “All About Steve,” talks about how tyrannical she is to work with, while Sandra explains that it’s impossible to explain the movie in 10 seconds. Makes sense to me. Go … [Read More]

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt engaged? That’s fantastic!
August 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
And now for some HAPPY news! Everyone’s favorite adorable guy from “The Office,” John Krasinski, and British actress Emily Blunt are engaged!
I’m probably disproportionately excited about this news, but it just makes me totally happy. I love both of these stars, and they’re starting a life together just as Pam and Jim are having a baby on “The Office.” Things must be peachy in John Krasinski’s world (and, clearly, I need to get out more).
Catch Krasinski next in “It’s Complicated,” in theaters Dec. 25, 2009. Blunt can be seen in “The Young Victoria,” in theaters Nov. 13, 2009.

August 27, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
In an interview with Movieline, stuntman Garrett Warren (Stunt Choreographer of the Year, by the way), revealed a few spoilers about “Iron Man 2.”
Ok, nothing major, but here’s what he had to say about Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) and the whips used in the movie:
"I don’t know if I’m at liberty to say what the [Iron Man 2] whips will look like, but they’re going to be these super whips that have an awful lot of power. They can cut through cars. They can do an awful lot of damage. And when the movie comes out, you’ll see … [Read More]

August 27, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
