"Watchmen" Trailer 2 - It’s Intense!

The second trailer for Alan Moore’s “Watchmen” is online now. Directed by Zack Snyder, the graphic novel-turned-movie hits theaters March 6, 2009. Looks darn intense, doesn’t it? I think it’s going to make all the other superhero movies - “Wolverine,” “The Spirit,” “Punisher: War Zone,” etc. - look like a walk through Candyland.

Which Comic Book Movie Are You Geeked About? - POLL

There’s a ton of comic book movies coming up, and I’m sure some will be better than others.

Which comic book […]

Joe Johnston in to Helm "The First Avenger: Captain America"

Is this a good thing? Joe Johnston is on board to direct Marvel’s “The First Avenger: Captain America.”
He directed “The Wolf Man,” currently in post-production, as well as “Hidalgo” in 2004, “Jumanji” in 1995, “The Rocketeer” in 1991, and several other films.
Other than that, he worked in special effects, including designing the […]

How Terrence Howard Lost His "Iron Man" Role

I’ve been wondering why Terrence Howard was dropped from his “Iron Man” role. I posted last week that Don Cheadle would be taking over the role of Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes in “Iron Man 2″ and any future movies in the franchise.
This week’s Entertainment Weekly has a few answers. They say: “Hollywood […]

Pulitzer Prize Winner to Pen "Spider-Man 4"

Well, whoever said that superhero movies and Pulitzer Prize winners don’t mix? David Lindsay-abaire is putting that myth to rest!
The man behind the hit show “Rabbit Hole,” is in talks to write the screenplay for Spider-Man 4.
And he’s not the first Pulitzer winner to be attached to a superhero franchise. “Spider-Man […]

Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. in for "Iron Man 2" and "The Avengers"

A Marvel press release landed in my inbox which I’m seriously overjoyed about: Robert Downey, Jr. will appear as Tony Stark in “The Avengers” movie, as well as reprise the role in “Iron Man 2.”
Also, Jon Favreau will direct “Iron Man 2,” as well as executive produce “The Avengers.” I figured this would probably be […]

Warner Bros. has debuted the new teaser poster for “Watchmen,” opening in conventional and IMAX theaters on March 6, 2009.
Wow, there’s a lot going on in this poster! And we know the rating now, too — R for graphic violence, sexuality, nudity and language. Like we didn’t see that coming.
Directed by Zack Snyder, […]
