Well, it’s no secret that The Dark Knight has plenty of action and violence. It’s thick into the PG-13 rating, that’s for sure.

Not surprisingly, The Dark Knight reigned supreme at the box office this week, taking in a whopping $158 million! Boff! Bam! That’s a lotta dough. In fact, it beat out the former record-holder, Spider-Man 3, which opened to $151.1 million in May 2007.

"The Dark Knight" Shatters Records - VIDEO

The Dark Knight has set a new record for midnight movie debuts with $18.5 million (compared to Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith’s $16.9 million). The Dark Knight is expected to do over $100 million business this weekend alone. Wow! Well, I liked it, too.
