I’m still ticked about this, because I think Amy Ryan (”Gone Baby Gone”) was robbed. Still, Tilda Swinton — sporting an otherworldly look with her weird one-armed, wet-look dress — managed to do the impossible: Lob a nice one at practical jokester George Clooney, her co-star in “Michael Clayton.”

Everyone is talking about the weird, painted-on hair that John Travolta was sporting on the Red Carpet last night. Did he ever say what the deal was? Is it because he likes it that way? Or is he playing Ken in the next Barbie movie?

I knew Gary Busey was acting a wee bit creepy, but he really pushed it over the edge when he practically attacked Jennifer Garner on the Red Carpet. You could tell that Ryan Seacrest was doing his best to diffuse the situation, but really, what could he do, other than call security? The whole thing […]

I was happy to see Diablo Cody win for Best Original Screenplay for “Juno.” Doesn’t she even SOUND a little like Ellen Page?!

Jon Stewart makes his second appearance as host of the Oscars. “You’re here!” he says gleefully to the audience, referring to the recently resolved “bitter writer’s strike.”
But no Vanity Fair Oscar party, out of respect for the writers. Too bad. Hey, if VF wants to give the writers some respect, says Stewart, howzabout […]

Here are some pictures from the red carpet at tonight’s 80th Academy Awards ceremony. I’m so glad the writers’ strike ended in time - it’s great to see some Hollywood glamor! Everyone looks so good! John Travolta’s hair looked a little weird, though. Like it was sprayed on or something.

Big night tonight, as the Oscars kick into gear. Thought I’d do some Red Carpet intel as stars are arriving — beneath a plastic tarp, as it’s a wee bit drizzly out there at the Kodak Theatre in L.A.
6:25 ET: George Clooney arrives with girlfriend Sarah Larson. He’s looking dapper with a bow tie, […]

Miley Cyrus, a.k.a. Hannah Montana, is one of the featured interviews on the annual pre-Oscar “Barbara Walters Special,” Sunday, 7 p.m., on ABC. Others interviewed: Oscar nominee Ellen Page (”Juno”), actor Harrison Ford, and actress Vanessa Williams (”Ugly Betty”).
On “The View” this week, Walters gave us a sneak peek of her chat with Cyrus: […]
