Christian Bale Does Damage Control on F-Bomb Tirade

by Jane Boursaw on February 6th, 2009

Christian Bale‘s people have apparently had a stern talk with him. The actor is apologizing for his tirade on the “Terminator Salvation” set. Listen to Bale’s 4-minute meltdown – in which he unleashes 36 f-bombs at the film’s director of photography, Shane Hurlbut – right here.

"It’s been a miserable week for me," Bale said on The Kevin & Bean Show on KROQ-FM in Los Angeles yesterday. “I was out of order, beyond belief. I acted like a punk. I regret that … It is inexcusable."

Bale adds: "Please, I am asking people, do not allow my onetime lapse in judgment, my incredibly embarrassing meltdown, to overshadow this movie … I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, ‘Have they ever had a bad day and ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely?’"

Uh, no. Not like that. At this point, I’m still calling Christian Bale a loser. What say you, Geckos?

I’m with you. I’ve had bad moments, and I’ve dropped the f-bomb during them. But sustaining that kind of heat for four minutes and 38 repetitions of the bomb isn’t “losing my temper.” That would be either an anger control issue or an arrogant brat, take your pick.

What he did was VERY wrong and he admits it, and sincerely-in my opinion- regrets it like he expresses.

Come on, I have really good patience and that only means its pretty bad when I lose it cos I’m like a time
bomb waiting to explode. I can only imagine the magnitude of Bale’s stress and problems compared to mine,
him being a celebrity and all.

Who are we to judge “oh I’m not like that” when we are no comparison? Its so easy to point fingers and feed on
mistakes and faults of others… Is it because it makes us the better person? Especially on celebrities whom we
have assumed as “role models” with perfect images, we forget that they are also only human despite their star status.

Give him a break guys. We are in no position to judge. Again let me stress I’m not saying what he did was right but we have
Absolutely no idea what triggered him to react in such manner. We can never say we are not or will never react like he did unless
    we were in his shoes.

And the same logic goes to any other celebrity who has or is experiencing meltdowns.
It seems to be most humans instinct to focus on other peoples flaws rather than what they have to give or offer. Its just so sad.
