Flushed Away Review
While the kid’s movie TMNT was disappointing, I was pleasantly surprised by Flushed Away
which is now out on DVD. It’s about a pet mouse played by Hugh Jackman who gets flushed down the toilet into an underground city for rats, mice, frogs, slugs and other little creatures.
Somehow this movie manages to have cute kid friendly themes of saving the day while at the same time having political satire for the adults. My favorite part of the movie by far was when the French frogs are told to take action and they immediately throw their hands up and say "we surrender!".
Along with Hugh,this movie has a fabulous cast including Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen, Jean Reno, and Bill Nighy.
Rent it for your kids today, but watch it with them and enjoy!
