This Friday, fans of pop star Miley Cyrus and her Disney Channel alter-ego Hannah Montana can see the superstar in theaters (in 3-D!), as she rocks audiences in a 54-city concert tour across the United States last year.
If you’re unfamiliar with Cyrus, she stars in the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” as Miley Stewart, an awkward 14-year-old who recently transferred from Tennessee to Malibu, bringing along her older brother, Jackson (Jason Earles), and father, songwriter Robby (Cyrus’ real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus).
What her classmates don’t know is that she’s really their pop-singer idol, Hannah Montana. Yeah, I know… My 10-year-old daughter and I look at each other and go: It’s the same girl! Only with a blonde wig! But hey, it’s good TV, so there ya go.
As tween stars go, Cyrus is a pretty good role model for young girls. She dresses appropriately, has a good sense of friends and family and, best of all, she’s managed to stay out rehab!
Now the Giveaway: I have two copies of “Hannah Montana: One in a Million” DVD, which includes 4 episodes of the TV series (including one with the Jonas Brothers).
To enter the contest, simply leave a comment on this post with a valid email address. You must be from the United States or Canada to enter. On Friday, February 1, I will randomly draw 2 winners from the entries, and will email the winners for their mailing addresses. Winners will be sent their copy of “Hannah Montana: One in a Million.”

Miley is a huge hit here with my 11 y.o. I have been so thankful there is at least one star out there who is not dressing and acting like a 25 y.o. She has a close relationship with her dad on the show. I pretty much can watch the show with my daughter and not be made crazy.

Chrissy (my 11-yr-old) thinks Hannah is so cool, and since we live in Montana she’s a little possessive of her. (I know, I know-the state of Montana has nothing to do with the show.) I am proud (???) to report that I know every word to “Best of Both Worlds” and belted it out with the girls during my daughter’s eleventh b-day party. That makes me either really hip or an embarrassment to my daughter. If the latter, she’s smart enough to keep me in the dark!

My 6-year-old niece just discovered Hannah Montana — asked for a guitar for Christmas (purple, with Hannah’s photo on it, of course) and is now taking lessons. I’m hoping this helps balance the High School Musical obsession.
