Own Bond’s Aston
Sometimes movie memorabilia comes up on the auction block and I think “now who would want to own that?”, this, my friends, is not one of those times. Up for sale on January 20th, 2006 is the heavily modified Aston Martin that Britain’s suavest special agent drove in three James Bond films (Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye). They’ve taken out the ejector seat so that you don’t accidently send yourself flying over the freeway, but everything else, including the oil slick dispenser, the machine gun headlights, and wheel mounted tire slashers all come equipped. Don’t expect this piece of movie history to come cheap…the price tag is expected to break seven figures.
The question is, would you actually drive it? I sure wouldn’t. That car would be in the most temperature controlled, dust free, sunlight free environment that I could get it into. I might sit in it every once in a while with a martini and practice raising my eyebrow seductively, but other than that it’s strictly look, don’t touch.
