Own David Bowie in Leopard Print Tights
No, Bowie hasn’t crossed paths with Siegfried and Roy, I’m talking about his 1986 role as Jareth the goblin king in the classic “Labyrinth”. If watching him prance around with barely concealed equipment and drag queen make-up on your television simply is not enough, you can now buy a foot tall replica of the scariest character in the entire movie, to have and hold on your bedside table. Click the post image for a better look.
Palisade Toys is set to release the full articulated (good lord…) Bowie doll, complete with magical crystal ball and a riding crop (oh my…), in 2006. The going rate for this nightmarish collector’s item is about $34. Buy at your own risk. I’m not responsible for what happens in your dreams.

Hilarious! Magic Dance is an awesome song… I don’t know if it is more or less so because of David Bowie in tights.

Interesting. I just read in Jan 2005 Sight and Sound p12 that Bowie will act in a new film called ‘The Prestige’ to be directed by Christopher Nolan.

Actually, Jareth (Bowie) doesn’t wear those tights in ‘The Labyrinth’ at all!
His are grey.
So what’s going on here?
