"Quantum of Solace" Opens Big Overseas
Well, I’m not surprised by this news. “Quantum of Solace,” drew a whopping $38.6 million from 2,123 screens in three overseas markets. It easily claimed the No. 1 spot at the box office. Go, Bond!
“Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,” didn’t do so bad either, drawing an estimated $17.8 million from 635 screens in Russia and Ukraine, the biggest opening weekend of any title to play only those two markets. It ranked as the weekend’s No. 3 attraction overseas.
I’m verklempt with anticipation over here in the states! We’ve got some great movies coming up, including these two and “Twilight,” opening Nov. 21, 2008. Go, Vampires!
