The gang from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” hit Comic-Con in San Diego and answered a few vampire-centric questions from the audience. Rob and Taylor look adorable, but what the heck is up with Kristen’s hair? The movie hits theaters Nov. 20, 2009. Check out Film Gecko’s complete coverage here.

I’ve got two new stills from "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" below, followed by six previously released stills.
The movie hits theaters on Nov. 20, 2009, and continues the story of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). It’s a cross-species love triangle involving a human, a vampire, and a werewolf. Check out the poster of the werewolf pack here.

Review: Moon (a sci-fi not unlike 2001: A Space Odyssey)

Movie: Moon * Official Site | In Theaters: June 12, 2009 (limited) |
Runtime: 97 minutes | Directed by: Duncan Jones |
MPAA Rating: R for language | Gecko Rating: |
I haven’t heard much about “Moon,” but it’s been on the film festival circuit this year and won Best New British Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. It features Sam Rockwell (pictured) in the lead, so that was enough to make me go see it at our restored downtown State Theater here in Traverse City, Michigan.
I took my budding filmmaker almost-15-year-old son. Even though it’s rated R, it’s mainly for language, which he and I are both ok with. He knows he’s not supposed to swear, and I know he knows he’s not supposed to swear.
The story follows an astronaut named Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell), who’s finishing up a three-year contract for Lunar Industries, a company harvesting helium-3 from the moon and sending it back to Earth to be used as clean fuel. Sam’s been on his own for three years, and his only communication is via delayed-time relays from his employers and wife Tess back on Earth.

We’re starting to get more info about "A Perfect Getaway," a thriller from Rogue Pictures arriving in theaters Aug. 7, 2009. Visit the official site here.
It stars Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich as Cliff and Cydney, an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking on one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in Hawaii. Yeah, you know that’s not going to go well.
While hiking the secluded trails in paradise, they come across a group of frightened hikers who tell them about the murder of another newlywed couple. Cliff and Cydney join the other couples and things immediately start to go horribly wrong.
"A Perfect Getaway" is directed by David Twohy, who’s written and or directed a number of films, including "Waterworld," "G.I. Jane," "Pitch Black," and "The Chronicles of Riddick." It’s rated R for graphic violence, language, including sexual references, and some drug use, and also stars Chris Hemsworth and Timothy Olyphant.

Kristen Stewart Pregnant with Rob’s baby? Or just creating New Moon movie buzz?

In the “Twilight” rumor of the week, the gossip hounds are reporting that Kristen Stewart is pregnant with Rob Pattinson’s baby. Also that she asked a friend to buy a pregnancy test so the paparazzi wouldn’t catch her in the act herself.
Of course, publicists have been known to spread rumors to attract attention to their stars, and Kristen actually mentions that in a Twitter update: “For all I know, my publicist might have done that.”
What’s your take on it? Is she really pregnant? Or are they just trying to create movie buzz for the release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” on Nov. 20, 2009. After all, her character Bella Swan DOES get pregnant in the series eventually.
Visit Forks, Washington – Home of Twilight

It would be pretty fun to check out where Edward and Bella had their first date, or stand in the parking lot where he saved her from being crushed by an out-of-control vehicle. I’m sure Forks, Washington is having quite the tourist boon ever since “Twilight” came out last year, and again this year when “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” hits theaters on Nov. 20, 2009.
Rob Pattinson: Watching myself on screen makes me feel sick!

Much of the population might think that vampire Edward Cullen and his human alter-ego Robert Pattinson is cuter than cute. But he doesn’t share that feeling, and says that not only did he almost back out of auditioning for the role, but seeing himself on screen makes him sick!
For the rest of us, we’ll get to see Pattinson as the sultry vampire again on Nov. 20, 2009, when "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" hits theaters.
Moon’s Duncan Jones at the Tribeca Film Festival

The film "Moon" is out in limited release this week, but has been on the film festival circuit since January. Just the title alone wouldn’t make me go see this movie, but after reading more about it and watching clips, I’m definitely interested. If I don’t see it beforehand, maybe it’ll play at the Traverse City Film Festival in August.
It’s directed and written by Duncan Jones, son of the legendary David Bowie, and follows an astronaut (Sam Rockwell) who pursues his own departure from a futuristic lunar mining base. "Moon" is rated R for language, and also stars Kevin Spacey (who voices a robot), Matt Berry, and Robin Chalk.
Tribeca caught up with Jones recently at the Tribeca Film Festival.
New in Theaters: Pelham 123, Imagine That

New in theaters this weekend are a couple of very different movies, featuring John Travolta as a bad guy and Eddie Murphy as a clueless dad:
The Taking of Pelham 123 (R). It’s a little sad watching John Travolta play a bad guy and thinking about all the grief he’s had this year after losing his son. Still, this movie has couple of great character studies, with Travolta and also Denzel Washington as a subway navigator who’s forced into a take charge position. [Film Gecko Preview & Trailer] [World Premiere Pics] [Official Site]
Imagine That (PG). It’s a familiar story of a distant dad (Eddie Murphy) bonding with his little girl (Yara Shahidi), but the two share some sweet moments. And Thomas Haden Church plays a goofy Native American character – well, sort of! [Film Gecko Preview & Trailer] [Official Site]
In limited release: "Call of the Wild 3D"; "Food, Inc."; and "Moon." "Away We Go" expands this weekend, as well.

Attention, anyone looking to play Seth or Leah in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"!
There’s an open casting call listed for these two characters at EclipseOpenCasting.com. Thanks to Nieko in Film Gecko’s "New Moon Casting News & Rumors" thread for the heads up!
From the Open Casting site:
Seth Clearwater: Seth is a Quileute Indian and the youngest member of the La Push wolf pack. He is a tall, gangly limbed boy with a huge, happy grin, the son of Harry and Sue Clearwater and the younger brother of Leah. Seth idolizes Jacob, and is always eager to please. NOTE: This is an excellent opportunity for Native American and First Nations actors. Seeking age 14-19 to play age 15.
Leah Clearwater: Leah is a Quileute Indian and the only female member of the La Push wolf pack. She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues. She is the daughter of Harry and Sue Clearwater and the protective older sister of Seth. NOTE: This is an excellent opportunity for Native American and First Nations actors. Seeking age 18-25 to play 19.
Auditions are due by June 30, 2009. Again, visit the Eclipse Open Casting site for more info and to submit your audition.
Good luck, everyone! First dibs on interviewing the lucky actors who make it!
