Some of you may remember a Fox show entitled Firefly which aired in 2000. It was an action adventure, sci-fi sort of show, and it starred a Baldwin. Adam Baldwin to be exact, not of the other, (in)famous Baldwin Family.

Well Adam and the rest of the cast of Firefly have been reunited in the film Serenity, the first major motion picture to follow a Sci-Fi television show since Star Trek: Nemesis.

The movie looks like it will be a smash bang, loads of effects, gotta know the show to get the jokes sort of film, but I am kinda into that, so I’ll check it out.

The film is set 500 years in the future, and some sort of Galactic war has been fought and won by “The Alliance”. The crew of the transport ship Serenity under Captain Reynolds (Nathan Fillion), takes on two passengers, a doctor and his telepathic sister. Reynolds was on the losing side of the war, and now the Alliance is seeking this telepath, who saw something she shouldn’t have.

The trailers have made this film appear very colourful, very action packed, and fans of Firefly should get a kick out of it.
