"Star Wars: The Clone Wars" - New 4-Minute Clip - VIDEO
A new 4-minute clip of Star Wars: The Clone Wars was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. Now it’s online so we can all see it. This movie looks fantastic, and I’m really looking forward to it. Plus, it’s rated PG, so should be ok for kids 7 and older.
More after the jump, including a trailer…
Directed by Dave Filoni, this animated film chronicles the Clone Wars sweeping through the galaxy, as the heroic Jedi Knights struggle to maintain order. More and more systems are falling prey to the forces of the dark side as the Galactic Republic slips further under the sway of the Separatists and their droid army.
Anakin Skywalker (voiced by Matt Lanter) and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Drane) find themselves on a mission that brings them face-to-face with crime lord Jabba the Hutt. But Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) and his sinister agents, including Asajj Ventress (Nika Futterman), will stop at nothing to ensure that Anakin and Ahsoka fail at their quest. Meanwhile, on the front lines of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor) and Master Yoda (Tom Kane) lead the massive clone army in a valiant effort to resist the forces of the dark side. Anthony Daniels is back as C-3PO and Samuel L. Jackon voices Mace Windu.
The movie opens in theaters Aug. 15, 2008, and it’s rated PG for sci-fi action violence throughout, brief language and momentary smoking. Below is the trailer that’s playing in theaters now. Watch the 4-minute clip here.
