Chris Weitz talks Bella’s view, Edward’s suicide
August 24, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
MTV.com caught up with Chris Weitz, who dished on “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” in theaters Nov. 20, 2009.
Specifically, the director said he wanted to keep the second film adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s books from Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) perspective, so it would be in line with the book. So when Alice has a vision of Edward about to commit suicide, she conveys that to Bella who imagines seeing it.
Do you think “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will live up to your expectations?

August 17, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
More action, more buff guys, more romance, more special effects … looks like that’s what we’ll be getting with "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," arriving in theaters Nov. 20, 2009.
The story brings the wolf pack front and center, and even takes us to the exotic locale of Italy. Edward (Rob Pattinson) leaves, Bella (Kristen Stewart) goes into a deep depression, and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) steps up.

The first official photo of the “New Moon” wolf pack has been released by Summit Entertainment. The movie opens Nov. 20, 2009, and continues the “Twilight” saga with more romance, more vampires, and more Edward and Bella.
Pictured below are Alex Meraz as Paul, Chaske Spencer as Sam Uley, Bronson Pelletier as Jared, and Kiowa Gordon as Embry Call. Yep, it’s the Quileute Wolf Pack, and they look just fine to me. Your thoughts?

Nikki Reed reveals New Moon makeovers - VIDEO
March 21, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
With a bigger budget and and a new director (Chris Weitz), we can expect a few changes in "New Moon," the sequel to last year’s vampire flick "Twilight."
Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in both "Twilight" and "New Moon," says things got a little dicey for the characters while filming the first movie.
"We all had hours of hair and makeup in the morning, and then when we showed up on set, it was raining. And because we are vampires, we can’t shoot in the sun! So, we were always shooting when it was cloudy, and then there was …read more
Catherine Hardwicke to direct "If I Stay"
March 20, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Apparently, the rift between Catherine Hardwicke and Summit Entertainment has been healed. The "Twilight" directed has signed to direct Summit’s fantasy-drama "If I Stay." That’s interesting, because I heard last week that she was tapped to direct a teen series by James Patterson.
Even though "Twilight" was massively successful and grossed more than $380 million worldwide, Summit and Hardwicke parted ways in December. Chris Weitz was chosen to direct the sequel "New Moon."
Based on Gayle Forman’s novel to be published this spring, "If I Stay" centers on a gifted classical musician and her indie rockstar boyfriend. She’s forced …read more
Catherine Hardwicke talks New Moon and Twilight: Director’s Notebook - VIDEO
March 19, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Is Catherine Hardwicke bitter about not directing “New Moon”? Apparently not, at least not in this clip from the launch party of her book, “Twilight: Director’s Notebook.”
Hardwicke says that while she was attached to the series while directing “Twilight,” she appreciates the idea of new people like Chris Weitz coming in and directing other movies in the franchise, much like the “Harry Potter” series. Take a look:
New Moon: Dakota Fanning confirmed as Jane
March 7, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Got a tip from TwilightMania.com that Dakota Fanning has been confirmed to play the role of Jane in "New Moon," the upcoming sequel to "Twilight" arriving in theaters Nov. 20, 2009.
There’s been a lot of speculation about who would play Jane, and opinions were varied when I reported the rumor in January.
While I think she’ll do a fine job, in some ways I wish they would have cast a lesser known actress. It just seems like Dakota Fanning is cast in just about every movie requiring a female in that age range.
What are your thoughts on …read more
