Emily Blunt shooting a scene for The Adjustment Bureau

September 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

Actress Emily Blunt (recently engaged to John Krasinski) was spotted shooting a night scene for “The Adjustment Bureau” on the chilly streets of New York City.
The film, which also stars Matt Damon, follows an affair between a politician and a ballerina who are kept apart by mysterious circumstances. Hmmm … sounds mysterious … and a fun sci-fi thriller, too.
It’s directed by George Nolfi based on a short story by Philip K. Dick. No release date, but I’m guessing sometime in 2010.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt engaged? That’s fantastic!

August 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

And now for some HAPPY news! Everyone’s favorite adorable guy from “The Office,” John Krasinski, and British actress Emily Blunt are engaged!
I’m probably disproportionately excited about this news, but it just makes me totally happy. I love both of these stars, and they’re starting a life together just as Pam and Jim are having a baby on “The Office.” Things must be peachy in John Krasinski’s world (and, clearly, I need to get out more).
Catch Krasinski next in “It’s Complicated,” in theaters Dec. 25, 2009. Blunt can be seen in “The Young Victoria,” in theaters Nov. 13, 2009.

March 19, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

I’m so looking forward to seeing this movie. Not only does it have some of my favorite actors, including Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, and Alan Arkin, but the storyline sounds quirky and funny and poignant, too.
Dave White of Movies.com only gave it a C-, but that’s ok. I hardly ever agree with his opinions on movies (do you like ANY movies, Dave?!). I’ll check it out and see for myself.  And of course, report back to you, good readers.
It stars Amy Adams as a single mom who’s just looking to get out of her dead-end life as …read more

Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, and Alan Arkin star in "Sunshine Cleaning," a comedy about two sisters who decide to dig out of their dead-end lives by starting a business cleaning up crime scenes.
The little movie opens in some theaters on March 13, and it looks like a quirky film that even made my list of 2009 movies I’m looking forward to.
Hollyscoop.com caught up with the stars at the premiere of the movie, which also stars Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kevin Pollack, and Christine Jeffs (who also directs). The screenplay was written by Megan Holley.

Scarlett Johansson to star in "Iron Man 2"?

February 14, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

I always have trouble remembering that Scarlett Johansson is only 24 years old. It just seems like she’s been around forever and, in fact, she’s been acting since 1994, so she really HAS been around for a while.
Now she’s in talks with Marvel Studios to star in "Iron Man 2," possibly replacing Emily Blunt in the role of Russian spy Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. Blunt’s role in the upcoming "Gulliver’s Travels" might keep her from doing the "Iron Man" sequel.
According to an Entertainment Weekly story, Blunt is still trying to work out both roles (and yeah, I’d move …read more
