I’m not so big on horror movies, but "Jennifer’s Body" looks just cheesy enough that I might have to check it out.
For one thing, it’s written by Diablo Cody ("Juno" and "The United States of Tara"). And it stars Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody, Amy Sedaris and J.K. Simmons. All great actors who would be fun in this type of movie.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen “An American Werewolf in London,” but I’ll have to revisit it, because a remake is in the works.
Released in 1981, the funky-cult-comedy John Landis film starred David Naughton and Griffin Dunne as two American backpackers hiking in the Yorkshire moors attacked by a mysterious animal that turns out to be a werewolf. Naughton ends up terrorizing London, and Dunne’s re-animated corpse offers ways Naughton can off himself to break the curse. It’s loads of fun! (It really is.)

In “Sorority Row,” a group of sorority sisters try to cover up the death of a house-sister when a prank goes horribly wrong. Just the name “Drag Me to Hell” sounds like a cheesy 1950s movie, but the trailer and previews look downright creepy. It’s directed by Sam Raimi and stars Alison Lohman as a loan officer who, well, gets dragged to hell after nixing a loan and evicting an old woman from her home.
Hmmm, a sign of the times? I dunno, are loan officers seen as the grim reaper these days? The movie’s rated PG-13 for sequences of horror violence, terror, disturbing images and language, and opens in theaters May 29, 2009.

Freddy Krueger is like a demented Energizer Bunny, isn’t he? He just keeps on going and going and going. In New Line’s redo of "A Nightmare on Elm Street," Jackie Earle Haley will play the role of Freddy Krueger, taking over for Robert Englund.
The original "Nightmare" was released in 1984 and established Krueger as a serial child killer murdered by angry parents who returns to terrorize teens in their dreams.
