The Invention of Lying – Red Carpet premiere with Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner and Rob Lowe
September 26, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
“The Invention of Lying” takes place in a world where no one lies (hmmm, I’m not sure that would be such a good thing – those little white lies can soften the blow sometimes!).
Jennifer Garner says her character cannot tell a lie, which causes some problems when she gets hit on by the first guy in the world who CAN tell a lie, played by Ricky Gervais. She goes on to say that in real life, she’s a bad liar, “but a good exaggerater.”
The comedy also stars Jonah Hill, Louis C.K., Jeffrey Tambor, and Tina Fey. It’s rated PG-13 for …read more
Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe at The Invention of Lying premiere
September 15, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
“The Invention of Lying” hits theaters Oct. 2, 2009, and the stars walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival.
It’s a comedy set in a world (clearly fictional!) where no one has ever lied. That is, until a writer seizes the opportunity to lie for personal gain. The movie stars Ricky Gervais (who also wrote, directed and produced), Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, and Rob Lowe. It’s rated PG-13 for language including some sexual material and a drug reference.
Check out the stars on the red carpet. They look like they’re having a lot …read more
Jennifer Garner and Ashton Kutcher film scenes for Valentine’s Day
August 19, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
You know if it’s a Garry Marshall film, it’s bound to be good. Or at least romantic and funny. And hopefully good, too. “Valentine’s Day” has a killer cast – including Taylor Lautner, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts, Topher Grace, Jamie Foxx, Patrick Dempsey, Queen Latifah, and Eric Dane.
Is that everyone in Hollywood? Not quite! Don’t forget Hector Elizondo, who has a standing role in every Garry Marshall movie.
Here’s a couple of images of Jennifer Garner and Ashton Kutcher filming separate scenes for the movie at the Los Angeles International Airport. …read more

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past – Preview & Trailer
April 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Matthew McConaughey continues to be one of my favorite romantic comedy stars, and his real-life girlfriend says he (and their new baby) is such a flirt, so I guess the genre is right up his alley.
In "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," McConaughey plays Connor Mead, a confirmed bachelor and celeb photographer who has no qualms about breaking up with several women on a conference call. While at his younger brother’s wedding, Connor nearly single-handedly ruins the wedding, and gets haunted by not only his hard-partying uncle (Michael Douglas), but also the ghosts of his past, present and future girlfriends. Jennifer …read more
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, taking a break from The Company Men
April 22, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
My friend, Betsy Hijazi, has the best luck at scoring great photos of celebrities and movie sets. Last year she snagged awesome photos of Mel Gibson on the set of "Edge of Darkness."
She just sent me another great set of photos, this time of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner and their kids in Boston. Ben was taking a break from filming "The Company Men," in which he stars with Tommy Lee Jones and Kevin Costner. Directed by John Wells, the film centers on three men trying to survive corporate downsizing at a major company. It’s scheduled for a 2010 …read more
