June 6, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
A friend just sent this note along. TalentHunter.com has a note saying they”re casting extras for "Twilight." You can register for free and apply online here.
I assume they’re talking about "New Moon" and possibly "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn," but they don’t specify in the ad. Anyone know anything about this site, or whether they’re legit?
This particular ad says: "No experience is needed. All looks and types wanted. Make $150-$300 per day."
If anyone knows anything about this site, tell us in the comments below!

New Moon: Dakota Fanning confirmed as Jane
March 7, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Got a tip from TwilightMania.com that Dakota Fanning has been confirmed to play the role of Jane in "New Moon," the upcoming sequel to "Twilight" arriving in theaters Nov. 20, 2009.
There’s been a lot of speculation about who would play Jane, and opinions were varied when I reported the rumor in January.
While I think she’ll do a fine job, in some ways I wish they would have cast a lesser known actress. It just seems like Dakota Fanning is cast in just about every movie requiring a female in that age range.

But the current buzz is that Barrymore is out, and Paul Weitz, brother of “New Moon” director Chris Weitz, is in.
Acting411 blog has all but confirmed that Paul Weitz, who co-owns Depth of Field Productions with his brother Chris – has signed to direct “Eclipse.”
Production has already begun on the second movie, “New Moon,” but 411 is reporting that “Eclipse” will NOT be filmed back-to-back with “New Moon.” The two movies will …read more

"Eclipse" Gets a Release Date!
February 24, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I’m always so excited to hear any "Twilight" news, and this one is awesome.
The third installment of the vampire franchise, "Eclipse," now has a release date: June 30, 2010. And since the second movie, "New Moon," hits theaters Nov. 20, 2009, fans won’t have to wait long for "Eclipse."
"Twilight" writer Melissa Rosenberg is currently penning the script, which will revolve mainly around Bella Swann. Who will she choose? Edward or Jacob?
I haven’t read the books yet (I know – so sad), so I don’t know the answer to that question! Well, I probably DO know.
Any thoughts …read more

Hilary Duff wants to be in "New Moon," too!
February 13, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I just posted the other day that everybody in Hollywood (and their mother) wants to score a part in "New Moon." Now Hilary Duff has jumped on that bandwagon.
Vanessa Hudgens, Dakota Fanning, and the Jonas Brothers have all yearned for a spot in the credits, and "90210" star AnnaLynne McCord has auditioned for the part of Heidi.
Hilary Duff was recently spotted at the Mercedes Benz Fashion week, talking with "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli about how badly she wants a role in the sequel.
A source recently told Hollyscoop.com, "Hilary told Peter how bad she wants to be in …read more

Yikes, say it ain’t so. The Jonas Brothers say they’d love to do music for "New Moon," the much-anticipated sequel to "Twilight."
Of course, that doesn’t mean they WILL do music, just that they’d like to. When asked by MTV about the possibility, the brothers said, "That would be really cool."
"[Twilight] was obviously a huge success," said Nick. "If they asked us to be a part of [New Moon], then that would be great."
Ok, is there anyone who DOESN’T want to be part of "New Moon"? I swear, everyone and their mother is looking to …read more

February 10, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
AnnaLynne McCord, who plays Naomi in The CW’s "90201", has confirmed that she’s in talks to play the Volturi “fisher” Heidi in “New Moon.”
McCord told Hollyscoop that she’ll hear back about the role next week. “My fingers are crossed, though,” she said. “I’m a fan of the books, as are my 14 and 12-year-old cousins who are obsessed. They would freak if I got it. And I just want to do a film with a small role during my hiatus, and then just have the rest of the time off, ‘cause I need a break. I want to go …read more
