May 26, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Tops at the box office this weekend was "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian." I wasn’t that crazy about the movie (read my review here), but it’s the only new family flick out right now, which is why I think it scored high. It wasn’t bad; just wasn’t as good as the first movie. Take a peek at the numbers from Box Office Mojo:
- Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, $70M
- Terminator Salvation, $53.82M
- Star Trek, $29.40M
- Angels & Demons, $27.70M
- Dance Flick, $13.10M
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine, $10.10M
- Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, $4.83M
- Obsessed, $2.50M
- Monsters vs. Aliens, $1.90M
- 17 Again, $1.28M

If you’re a fan of Robert Downey, Jr., Channing Tatum or Beyonce, then you should plan a trip to the theater this weekend. Take a peek, and let me know what YOU plan on seeing!
The Soloist (PG-13). Robert Downey, Jr. plays a reporter who bonds with a homeless, schizophrenic musician played by Jamie Foxx. [Trailer] [Official Site]
Fighting (PG-13). It’s the story of a small-town boy (Channing Tatum) who goes to NYC and gets caught up in the underworld of streetfighting and a scam artist (Terrence Howard). [Trailer] [Official Site]
Obsessed (PG-13). Heroes‘ Ali Larter starts stalking co-worker Idris Elba. That’s a really bad thing to do, seeing as he’s married to no-holds-barred Beyonce. [Clip & Trailer] [Official Site]

Beyonce talks Obama, Obsessed – Watch the clip & trailer
April 23, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Songstress-Actress Beyonce chatted with David Letterman, Matt Lauer and the ladies of “The View” about her new movie “Obsessed,” as well as singing for the Obama Inauguration. She’s ultra-busy and so beautiful, too. I love her laugh!
And wow, she really gets down and dirty with Ali Larter in “Obsessed,” in theaters tomorrow. The stalker movie also stars Idris Elba and Jerry O’Connell. It’s rated PG-13 for sexual material including some suggestive dialogue, some violence and thematic content.
