No shocker here – Twilight scores 12 Teen Choice Awards nods
June 15, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I guess nobody’s surprised that “Twilight” scored 12 Teen Choice Awards nominations. I love the names of their awards, too – Male Hottie, Fresh Face Male and Female… I mean, why NOT just tell it like it is, right?
The traditional surfboard trophies for the 11th annual show will be handed out Aug. 10, 2009, with the Jonas Brothers hosting the event. Excitable (and non-excitable) fans aged 13 – 19 can vote for the winners at TeenChoiceAwards.com.

3 New Images of New Moon Released
May 25, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Three new images of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" have been released exclusively to EW.com. The pics show:
- Newly 18-year-old Bella after being thrown against a table by her love, Edward.
- The mysterious vampire Laurent (Edi Gathegi) telling Bella not to be fearful of death. "’He was bad in ‘Twilight,’ but still had some compassion," he says. "Let’s just say he’s not conflicted anymore.”
- Bella and Edward about to kiss. "Rob was the first guy to say to me, ‘You know, you don’t really need to have too much of me in this film,’" notes director Chris Weitz. "I don’t want him too present, so his apparition will be a subtle, flitting effect — clearly a reflection of Bella’s will and desire to see him.”
Check out the new images here (I’ll post them as soon as they’re available). What do you think?

Rob Pattinson: Breaking Dawn is a go
May 19, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Robert Pattinson stopped by Cannes and revealed some big news for “Twilight” fans. “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth movie in the vampire series based on the Stephenie Meyer books, is in a go mode!
There’s been some speculation as to whether it would be made. “New Moon,” the second movie, and “Eclipse,” the third movie, are already in progress. Pattinson was heading to Italy to shoot the final four days on “New Moon,” and he’ll return to Vancouver in October to finish up “Eclipse.”
He told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s on board for “Breaking Dawn,” but didn’t know when production would begin. [SPOILER ALERT!] The fourth movie centers on Bella and Edward’s marriage and her pregnancy.

New Moon - First Photo of Quileute Wolf Pack!
May 8, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
The first official photo of the “New Moon” wolf pack has been released by Summit Entertainment. The movie opens Nov. 20, 2009, and continues the “Twilight” saga with more romance, more vampires, and more Edward and Bella.
Pictured below are Alex Meraz as Paul, Chaske Spencer as Sam Uley, Bronson Pelletier as Jared, and Kiowa Gordon as Embry Call. Yep, it’s the Quileute Wolf Pack, and they look just fine to me. Your thoughts?

Peter Facinelli talks New Moon, Taylor Lautner
April 29, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
This fun video comes to us via our friends at TwilightMania.com. Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in "Twilight" and "New Moon" (in theaters Nov. 20, 2009), says "werewolves are coming out of the woodwork" on the "New Moon" set. Oh yeah, and the buffed-up Taylor Lautner scares him. "If I saw him in a back alley, I’d probably run!"
Which is better: Harry Potter or Twilight? Vote in my poll!
April 26, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Ok, so here’s a question I’ve been mulling over. I’m a big fan of the “Harry Potter” series, but let’s face facts. It’s coming to an end soon. We’ll have to move on. And I don’t know about you, but I need a new series to follow and “Twilight” just might be it.
But “Harry Potter” is SUCH a good series with great characters, an interesting story, and awesome effects. We’ve got both “New Moon” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” coming up this year. It’ll be interesting to see how they compare at the box office. Will “Twilight” measure up in the long run?
Vote in my poll and tell me your reasoning in the comments below! n
