Trailer for Bronson looks creepy, edgy, funny
August 26, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Time Out New York calls “Bronson” “Jaw-Dropping. Awesome … A Stylish Thrill Ride,” and it certainly looks like all of those things.
It’s based on a true story about 19-year-old Michael Peterson, who in 1974 decided he wanted to make a name for himself. So with a home-made sawn-off shotgun, he tried to rob a post office and was sentenced to seven years in jail. But he’s been behind bars for 34 years, 30 of those in solitary confinement. This movie follows his metamorphosis into one of Britain’s most dangerous criminals, Charles Bronson (Tom Hardy).
The trailer looks very stylized and … what’s the word? … distinctive, to say the least. It hits theaters Oct. 9, 2009.
